The designer years, in pixels.

Seven pieces from the portfolio I sent out in 2020, before Switzerland and before the engineering years. Full-page screenshots, each in its own frame you can scroll. The products were Slovak, so the screens are Slovak; the captions say what you are looking at.

A landing page for Bookio's car-rental product

The last of many designs for Bookio in four-plus years: the landing page for a new product, an online reservation system for car-rental companies. Benefits first, the features of the booking calendar second, a free-trial call to action at the end. The page states Bookio's own customer figures.

The election calculator

Idea, concept, research, design and front-end of a calculator that matched voters with parties in three minutes. More than half a million people completed it within a month, with no marketing budget. The full story is in the case study; this is the landing page as it shipped. 522,254 completions

Melberry, a smart-parking app and its landing page

Six months in the Butterfly Effect programme, in a team of five with mentors from Sygic and Pixel Federation. I was the UX designer on the app, which showed real-time street parking in Melbourne, and I designed and built this landing page. The app went to Google Play and the App Store.

dankus.sk, my own WordPress theme from scratch

I wanted a theme of my own that felt smooth, so I designed it and coded it by hand from an empty folder to a working site: no page builder, no bought theme. Blog, about, projects, testimonials and contact on one long page. Google's speed rating at the time: 99 out of 100.

A homepage for a real-estate agency

A desktop and mobile homepage for an agency with big ambitions in its market: search by district, property cards with the agent's face on each, a video strip and the practical details. Yellow was the client's colour.

A fashion blog, moved off Wix onto a custom WordPress theme

A beginning blogger had outgrown a Wix template. I designed a minimal white theme around her photography and built it in WordPress, so she could edit posts without touching code. Design and full implementation, from zero to the finished blog.

A fashion-shop concept, born from a search-box study

A concept piece, not a client job. It grew out of a short case study I posted on Instagram, "four hacks to improve the UX of a search box", and became a shop homepage with the search box where it belongs: in the header, wide, and always visible.
